Wizard^TM web signs for Steelcase

Wizard^TM web signs is Steelcase's first range of true information appliances. Invented, designed and implemented for Steelcase by the Appliance Studio, this range of products has enabled the client to pursue a long-held business ambition in the area. The Appliance Studio worked closely with Steelcase for a period of over two years to understand the business need, analyse user opportunities, and deliver a complete engineered solution. Real-Time Team-Room for Steelcase

The Real-Time Team-Room is part of the Knowledge Workplace project. Starting from the position that the "heart of knowledge work" is teamwork, we have used our strategic approach to build an understanding of team behaviour, invent new appliances which support it in unique ways, implement prototypes, and test those prototypes with real users.

The result of this work is an innovative information appliance, which breaks away from the point-of-view pursued by video-conferencing, electronic-whiteboards and other team collaboration systems. It delivers real, effective team collaboration in an incredibly simple and easy-to-use device, and has resulted in a number of international patent applications.
